‘Talking with families; getting families talking.’
Being a parent is one of the most valuable jobs in the world, yet it is something for which we receive little training. Through the joys and challenges of parenting, our courses offer support to mums and dads, helping to keep both your family and your relationship strong.
Whether you are new parents, have teenage children or are somewhere in between, we have courses to suit you.
- General parenting – for parents with children of all ages
- Under 5s
- Under 11s
Led by volunteers over 5-8 sessions, our parenting courses provide you with a place to come and chat with other parents, while developing skills together.
On each course, we’ll look at topics such as:
- Encouraging Your Child
- Listening to Children
- Managing Behaviour and Conflict
- Becoming a ‘Talking Family’
These sessions will help to equip you with the tools needed to handle the ups and downs of parenting. We believe that being a parent is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding things you’ll ever do – but you don’t have to do it alone.
Our next course is
7.30-9.30pm in Cullompton Community Centre on October 15th and 29th, November 12th,19th and 26th and December 3rd
