Started in 2000, MDCFT is a volunteer run service, set up in response to the growing issue of relationship stress across our society. We are inclusive and uor aim is to strengthen all kinds of relationships and to help people through difficult times. We offer friendship, romantic relationship, parenting and family support through our Families Connecting service. We will also travel with you if your relationship has ended as you adjust again.
MDCFT is a community based project, operating in Cullompton, Tiverton and the surrounding villages. We work in partnership with other organisations such as GP surgeries, schools and churches, in order to meet the needs of as many families as possible.
Initially we delivered parenting and romantic relationship courses but then we realised that people could benefit from one to one relationship support. So, in 2010, Families Connecting was born – providing a place for individuals to come and talk with a trained volunteer.
Since the trust began, hundreds of people have accessed our services, resulting in improved relationships of all kinds, stronger families, and many lives changed. We also support those who are experiencing relationships changing. Our main focus is on helping you to understand what is happening in your relationship.
